Karen -- There are just 27 days left until Election Day on November 2nd, and early voting starts October 18th -- this is our best chance to elect new leaders and get Florida back on track. That's why volunteers are reaching out to fellow Florida voters, knocking on doors and making calls to spread the word about this fall's election. Making sure we get out the vote is as important as it is simple -- and it will make the difference in crucial statewide races. Four weeks isn't very much time, but given the passion and skill that you have shown time and time again, it's more than enough to get the job done -- and beat a Republican nominee for governor whose former company was forced to pay $1.7 billion in fines for Medicare fraud committed during his tenure. Can you make it to the event in Miami on Friday? Here are the details: What: Campaign for Accountability 2010 voter contact event Where: Coordinated Campaign Office 11525 South Dixie Highway Miami, FL 33156 When: Friday, October 8th 3:00 pm If you can't make that event, see if there's another one near you. The stakes have never been higher for Florida. I don't have to tell you how devastating it would be for our state if extremist Republican Rick Scott were elected governor -- and yet he's already spent $52 million of his own money against Alex Sink, launching false attack after false attack. But Scott's millions can't match the grassroots support of the Campaign for Accountability. Alex, our candidate for governor, has proven herself to be an ethical leader with the solutions we need to improve our schools and bring jobs to Florida. We know Alex can win because you have built the strongest grassroots movement Florida has ever seen in an election like this. Every single day, volunteers are on the ground making phone calls, knocking on doors, and telling their friends and neighbors why they are fighting to elect Democratic leaders this fall. Please let us know if you can make it on Friday: http://fl.barackobama.com/AccountabilityEventsFL Thanks, John John Bivona Field Director Campaign for Accountability 2010 P.S. -- Alex has important work to do, but our campaign for accountability is bigger than any one person. That's why volunteers are also asking folks to commit to vote for Kendrick Meek for senator, Loranne Ausley for CFO, Dan Gelber for attorney general, and Scott Maddox for commissioner of agriculture and consumer services. |
